Families Belong Together event will be hosted in Downtown Chicago on June 30th to protest the inhumane separation of families along the US Southern border. State Rep. Lou Lang, MWRD Commissioner Josina Morita, 17th House district candidate Jeniffer Gong-Gershowitz, and 8th Senate district candidate Ram Villivalam have arranged transportation from the Northwest suburbs to Chicago for anyone wanting to make their voices heard and attend the protest. The rally will take place at the Federal Plaza in Chicago, at 11am.
For the buses: When: We will meet Saturday, June 30th, at 9:30am. Busses will leave at 9:45. Buses will be back in Skokie by 2pm. Where: Niles Township Democratic Organization, 4504 Oakton Street, Skokie, IL 60076.
Pizza and refreshments will be provided upon our return.
If you wish to join us for a sign-making party, we will meet at the Niles Township Democrats office, 4504 Oakton St. on Thursday, June 28th at 6pm. Additionally, if you are unable to attend the rally, but would like to participate in a send-off, meet us at the office at 9:30am prior to the bus departure.
